Quarterage and Charity Contirbutions

We very much hope that Freemen and Liverymen will agree to pay their Quarterage and Charitable donations by Direct Debit as this will be beneficial both to members and to the Company. Direct Debits will significantly reduce your workload and will also improve our efficiency and flexibility. We would ask, therefore, that you complete the attached Direct Debit Authority, the Quarterage and Charitable Contributions Form and the Gift Aid Declaration Form and return them to the Clerk.

Quarterage

Quarterage is collected on or around 6th April each year.

Charitable Contributions

Freemen and Liverymen can contribute to two charities, the Education and the Almshouse Charities. Liverymen are reminded that the Court requests a minimum contribution of £120 per annum, but a higher contribution would of course be much appreciated. Please fill in amount that you wish to donate on the attached form. Charitable donations will also be collected by direct debit on or around 6th September each year.

We also ask that members complete the Gift Aid Declaration Form, if applicable, as this will allow the Company to reclaim tax from the Government. Members paying higher rate tax can also reclaim the difference between standard rate and higher rate tax through their tax returns.

We hope that the above is clear but if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Clerk.

I wish to contribute to the Company’s charities by Direct Debit as follows:
